The annual Eastside Vineyard Community (EVC) church festival is rapidly approaching! Last year was amazing! EVC provided meals, groceries, school supplies and more to members of the Pickerington community. I had the pleasure of entertaining many kids while waiting for back-to-school haircuts. The best part? We get to do it all over again on August 11, 2012 from 4-7 PM!
Bring your family out to the Eastside Vineyard CommUNITY Festival and enjoy food, live music, magic and more. For more information, check out the EVC website at eastsidevineyard.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
My magician friends in Columbus, Ohio may know that there is change afoot at the Be Amazing Magic Shop. Larry, the proprietor, has been actively seeking a new owner. Well, friends, he has found one! Stop by and say hello to a great guy and an encyclopedic magician that many of you know already. We will be having a going away party for Larry on Saturday, May 19th at 12:00 PM at the shop, so stop on by and help us to wish both Larry and the new owner the best of wishes on their new endeavors!
For any local magician friends that need an extra clue on the mystery owner’s new identity, here you go!
I’d like to extend a personal “thank you” to everyone who helped to make the 10th anniversary of Miracles & Magic an incredible success! The Opening Night Party was a blast. Bobby Flair, bartender extraordinaire, mixed some phenomenal drinks while juggling flaming bottles of spirits! Jon Petz rocked as Master of Ceremonies. Guests experienced private shows from some of the best magical entertainers in the world! And who could resist the massive chocolate fountain!? Lt. Dan’s New Legs brought down the house with their matchless hip hop sound.
Stan Allen, David Williamson, John Carney, and Jon Petz owned the main stage for the Saturday show with some of the biggest stage illusions the city has ever seen – and were hilariously funny as well!
This was a great cause benefiting A Kid Again, and I cordially invite everyone to check out the show next year. You won’t forget it!
The 3rd annual Magicians Have Heart event will be held Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at Lazy Chameleon in Powell, Ohio. Come out and be a part of this special event where professional and amateur magicians entertain your family right at your table!

Planning for Miracles & Magic 2012 has begun! I’m excited to be able to tell you what we have in store, but we’ll just have to wait a little longer. Needless to say, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be great! This year, we celebrate 10 years of Miracles for the A Kid Again Foundation! A Kid Again offers opportunities to terminally ill children to be just that… a kid again. This is a fantastic cause, an amazing outreach, and I encourage everyone to check it out.
I give a special shout out to Jon Petz. Without him, there would be no event. Thank you for including me in your team this year, Jon!
